Is he or isn’t he? The original ‘American Idol’ judge recently revealed the latest on whether or not he’ll end up appearing on the ‘Idol’ series finale. Here’s the scoop!
It’s the question we’ve wanted the answer to all year: Will Simon Cowell, 56, return to American Idol for its series finale? The music mogul, now a judge on America’s Got Talent, spoke out about his possible appearance at NBCUniversal Summer Press Day, and his response about the finale will surprise you!
“There is a date clash. I don’t know yet,” Simon said coyly at the NBC event, according to our sister site Deadline. OMG! Can we really say goodbye to American Idol without Simon?
FOX has already announced that original Idol judges Simon, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson will offer never-before-revealed stories about the show. Their stories could very well be pre-taped before the finale, but the network has said there will be many surprises and special appearances.
Simon may be playing coy now, but it definitely won’t surprise us to see Simon back on the show. HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY the original judges would come back to the show at some point during the final season.
The final episode of American Idol will feature performances from former Idols, including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Jordin Sparks, Scotty McCreery, Kris Allen, David Cook and more! The finale will also feature judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. Ryan Seacrest, with the help of the fans, will announce the final Idol winner. The two-part finale will begin April 6.
