Yikes! Yankees pitcher Andrew Miller took a brutal line drive to the wrist on Mar. 30, and now fans are freaking out that the injury may end his season. You’ve got to see the intense hit for yourself, right here!
Poor Andrew Miller! The pitcher for the Yankees injured his wrist during his Mar. 30 exhibition game against the Braves, when a line drive came right at his arm and sent him running off the field in a panic. We have the video of the devastating blow, here.
Uh oh, Yankees fans. Andrew took a brutal hit to his wrist during the Yanks Vs Braves game on Mar. 30, and it doesn’t look good. When the insane line drive clocked him, he immediately ran off of the field. He threw off his hat and glove angrily in the dugout, which is never a good sign. However, there’s still hope.
Yankees executive Brian Cashman said that his wrist is definitely bruised, but with no swelling, it may be pretty minor. He said that the star pitcher headed back to Tampa, Florida for a CT scan and X-rays to make sure he’s okay. Pitcher Dellin Betances said he talked to Andrew, and he doesn’t believe the injury is a big deal. “It’s a bruise, he’ll laugh about it later,” he said. Fortunately the X-Ray came back clean, but the CT scan revealed a chip.
Surely, the injury feels more devastating to Andrew, who is currently in his second season with the Yankees. His first was the best of his career, and made him a star on the team for his amazing record. Of the 61.2 innings that Andrew pitched last year, he made 36 saves and earned only 14 runs while he managed to strike out a stunning 100 batters. We hope he’ll be okay and continue his amazing streak this year.
