And it continues! Things are getting intense on Season 10 of ‘The Voice,’ as the coaches continued to cut their teams down from eight to five on the March 29 episode. Find out how the Knockouts are playing out with our full recap here!
Miley Cyrus is back, and her advice is helping the contestants on Season 10 of The Voice be better than ever, making it harder for their coaches to make elimination decisions. Find out how Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell William’s teams are shaping up after the March 29 episode here!
The first pair to face off tonight are Adam Wakefield and Peyton Parker from Team Blake. They sing “Bring It on Home To Me” by Sam Cook and “Traveling Solider” by the Dixie Chicks, respectively, with Sam performing first and getting the audience (and Pharrell) on their feet thanks to his unreal vocals. That low register?! AMAZING! But Peyton gives him a run for his money, leaving Blake with a tough decision to make. He chooses Sam, and since none of the other coaches have a Steal left, Peyton is sent packing before the Live Playoffs.
Pharrell’s artists Moushumi and Nick Hagelin are up next. Moushumi performs Halsey’s “New Americana,” while Nick takes on “Lost Without You” by Robin Thicke, and from the rehearsal footage alone, we can tell this is going to be a good one. The singers do NOT disappoint, and they both slay their performances, making it incredibly difficult for their coach to choose just one to move on. Pharrell eventually goes with Moushumi, and Blake, the only coach left with a Steal, just isn’t ready to push his button just yet, so Nick is going home. We’ll miss him!
Maya Smith and Tamar Davis from Christina’s team are the final Knockout pairing of the night, with the former, a Battle Round steal, singing Alicia Keys‘ “No One” and the latter performing Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down.” Both ladies have SUCH powerful voices and a ton to bring to the stage, and totally proved it with their respective performances. Christina is totally torn over her decision, but picks Tamar as the winner. Yay!
Here’s where the coaches stand so far (italics denote artist stolen in Knockouts):
Adam: Owen Danoff, Shalyah Fearing
Blake: Paxton Ingram, Katie Basden, Sam Cook
Pharrell: Hannah Huston, Lacy Mandigo, Emily Keener, Moushumi
Christina: Ryan Quinn, Alisan Porter, Tamar Davis
The Knockouts will come to an end on the April 4 episode, and the coaches will be left with five contestants each on their teams. Then, the Live Playoffs will kick off April 11, and the voters will finally have their say in which singers they want to stick around! Who else is pumped?!
