, With Miley Cyrus officially in as a coach on Season 11 of ‘The Voice,’ are Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera being pushed out for good? HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop on whether or not the former coaches will be returning to the show in the future!
Miley Cyrus, 23, will have her very own big red chair on Season 11 of The Voice, but what does that mean for Gwen Stefani, 46, and Christina Aguilera, 35, who aren’t on the panel this time around? Will we ever be seeing them on the show again? HollywoodLife.com has the answers for you EXCLUSIVELY right here.
Don’t count Gwen and Christina out for good — they simply have other things to tend do while Season 11 is filming! “The opportunity that The Voice gives the coaches in doing other things is amazing,” an insider explains to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Gwen and Christina are taking those stepping stones to do other things, like record more music, work on a tour, and be involved in a handful of other things. Plus, they love being mothers and want to enjoy their children growing up as well. Both are in The Voice family and will without a doubt return in future seasons.”
Plus, there are other roles for them on the show besides coaches — just ask Gwen herself, who’s served as Blake Shelton’s mentor during Season 10 when Christina returned as a judge! Speaking of Blake, he and fellow veteran judge Adam Levine will also be back for Season 11, along with another rookie, Alicia Keys, who served as Pharrell’s adviser in Season 7.
This is the first time there has been two women on the coaches panel, and the decision to bring the 23-year-old on was a strategic move by the people behind-the-scenes. “Now that The Voice is the only game in town, they needed to ruffle things up so people will still be talking about the show,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “They wanted a different edge and fan base and that is exactly what Miley will bring.”
