Virginia is the favorite going into this match-up and will be tough to beat if they continue to shoot well. Iowa State has not reached the Elite Eight since 2000 and are hungry to give their fans something to brag about.
Iowa State is home to Georges Niang, 22, a 6’10” senior forward from Massachusetts who is a threat inside and out. The kid can drive the lane like Kyle Busch and can drop threes like Justin Bieber drops girlfriends — all day long. Georges was good for 28 points including 3 of 5 from 3-point land in the Cyclones last win over would-be Cinderella team University of Arkansas, Little Rock.

Virginia has their own star player Malcolm Brogdon, 23, who is very capable of taking over this game. Malcolm is the ACC Player of the Year and was good for 22-5-5 in the Cavaliers 77-69 win over Butler. Keep an eye on #15 from the A.T.L., the kid is a straight baller.
What do you think HollywoodLifers? Who is going to punch their ticket for the next round of the NCAA Tournament, the Elite Eight? Will you be rooting for Virginia or would you like to see the under-dog Iowa State team get an upset victory?
