Twitter turns 10 years old on March 21, and over the past decade, celebs have used it to say some pretty outrageous things. From Chris Brown’s baby reveal to Taylor Swift’s Harry Styles shade to everything Kanye West has ever tweeted, here are some of the most controversial tweets ever!
It’s hard to believe there was a time when Twitter didn’t exist. The social media service turns 10-years old on March 21, and to celebrate, HollywoodLife.com is looking at 11 times a celeb used those 140 characters to shock the world. Click to see them all!
1. Taylor Swift shades Harry Styles right after their break-up.
It took Taylor Swift only four words to let Harry Styles know he was in for a world of hurt. After breaking up in 2013, and Taylor, tweeted “Back in the studio. Uh oh…” Uh-oh, indeed, as Taylor’s pain would lead to her Harry-centric song “Out Of The Woods” and her record-breaking album, 1989.
2. Larry Stylinson Comfirmed?
Maybe Harry was meant to find love not with Taylor, but within One Direction? Directioners that ship Harry and Louis Tomlinson nearly died when Louis all but confirmed his bromance with Harry (aka Larry Stylinson) with a single tweet. That 2011 message has gone on to be retweeted over 2 million times.

3. Karrueche Tran asks “Y’all know a Nia?”
Chris Brown’s relationship with Karrueche Tran came tumbling down with just a single question. After rumors of Chris having alleged lovechild blew up in 2015, Karrueche found out the name of Breezy’s baby mama. Chris and Kae haven’t gotten back together since. In the meantime, he’s busy being a dad to his daughter, Royalty.
4. Ashton Kutcher Defends Penn State’s coach Joe Paterno.
Ashton Kutcher stepped in it when he stuck his nose in the Penn State sex scandal, blasting the firing of coach Joe Paterno (who allegedly helped cover up Jerry Sandusky‘s years of child-abuse). “How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste,” Ashton’s 2011 tweet read, according to E! News. Ugh.
5. Alec Baldwin loses his seat to Words With Friends.
Alec Baldwin let his Twitter rage fly after getting in trouble for refusing to stop playing Words With Friends. “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving,” he tweeted, per ABC News. “#nowonder-americaairisbankrupt” Alec would be escorted off the flight for his attitude. Maybe he switched to Delta?
6. Roger Ebert rips Ryan Dunn, gets blasted by Bam Margera.
Jackass star Ryan Dunn died in 2011 when the car he was driving flew off the road in Pennsylvania. Shortly after the death, the late Roger Ebert tweeted “friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.” That tweet caused Ryan’s friend, Bam Margera, to tell the critic to “shut [his] fat f**king mouth!”

7. Amanda Bynes gets crude over Drake.
After she tweeted that she wanted Drake, 29, to “murder her vagina,” Amanda Bynes, 29, suddenly flipped the switch and tore into Drake. She said he had “the ugliest smile, ugly guns, uneven teeth” and “ugly eyes.” Someone doesn’t take reject well, it seems.

9. Kanye West loses it on Wiz Khalifa…
It seems Kanye West, 38, going nuts on Twitter is a daily thing, lately. Let’s honor the beef that ushered in the Crazy Twitter Kanye era by remembering him going off on Wiz Khalifa, 28, after Wiz criticized Yeezy’s album title. “You let a stripper trap you,” Ye tweeted in a huge rant. “I am your OG and I will be respected as such.”
10. …and Amber Rose fires back at Kanye’s Booty.
Though the tweet was made in January, 2016 may be known as the year that “#FingersInTheBootyAssB*tch” trended worldwide. While Kanye was beating up on Wiz, Amber Rose, 32, fired back with an epic slam that accused Yeezy of being into some kinky stuff!
11. Jaden Smith’s entire Twitter feed is gold.
