Prepare to feel the love! Fans of ‘The Passion’ lifted their voices on Twitter while watching the epic biblical musical to share their joy, their love, and yes, their passion for the modern day retelling of Jesus’ final days.
Tyler Perry should rejoice and be glad tonight, as it seems the people who tuned in to watch the modern retelling of the death of Jesus was a huge hit! Fans flooded Twitter with love and quite a bit of shock over how much they enjoyed the live musical tribute from the city of New Orleans. If we could insert a ‘praise’ emoticon here, we would!
What really seemed to resonated with people watching The Passion was the incredible music. Whether you enjoyed the production or not, viewers were in resounding agreement that the soundtrack was the best part of the show. If it wasn’t the beautiful stylings of Trisha Yearwood that inspired viewers of ‘The Passion’, it was the powerful performance of Jencarlos Canela as Jesus or the rocking performance of Chris Daughtry as Judas. From start to finish, even viewers who were skeptical over the production’s modern take and infusion of popular music, found the FOX event to be uplifting, joyful, and beautiful. The longer I watch #ThePassionLive, the more I start to think this is actually brilliant.
