Only. Blake. Lively. would look like this while getting attacked by a shark. The new trailer for ‘The Shallows’ was just released starring a pretty terrifying great white — in shallow water.
Blake Lively takes on a role of a surfer stranded in the ocean alone in the upcoming thriller, The Shallows — and in the trailer, she’s bloody and trying to stand. While she’s only 200 yards from the beach, a great white shark is swimming in shallow waters. This will be “Jaws for the new generation,” Sony says, and I have to say from this trailer, it looks scary.
The film was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who was also the mastermind behind one of my faves, House of Wax and the super-creepy, Orphan, so we know it’s scary.
In total, there are only three people in the movie so this will most likely be Blake’s Buried (AKA, her husband’s movie that gives everyone anxiety attacks). But let’s just hope it has a different ending. The movie was originally titled In The Deep.
With the exception of the huge freakin’ shark, the island Blake is on is seriously stunning. Filming began place in October 2015 in New South Wales, Australia, as well as Lord Howe Island. While filming she actually shared an amazing Instagram pic of her balancing on the rock.
“No, I wasn’t actually attacked by a shark. That definitely would’ve affected my 2015 …and my balance 😬☺️ #TheShallows #Movie #BehindTheScenes P.S. How rad did I feel for not falling off the rock for this pic,” she captioned the photo.
Will you see The Shallows? It’s set to hit theaters June 24, 2016!
