The American Idol throwbacks continued as another past Idol, Adam Lambert, returned to debut his catchy new song “Welcome To The Show” LIVE! He also brought the house down with “Mad World” by Gary Jules, which he performed as a contestant over 8 years ago. The final season is definitely the most nostalgic one of Idol yet!
Adam opened tonight’s episode with a gorgeous cover of “Mad World” by Gary Jules. This song holds special meaning for Adam, because he performed it during his winning season. Now that we’re in the final season, it’s all about pumping up the nostalgia factor, and Adam certainly pulled that off here! The crowd absolutely loved it.
Later, Adam brought the house down once again with an explosive performance of his latest single, “Welcome To The Show”. He was actually joined by Laleh, who features on the track — so cool! The song, which was just released today, is going to be a hit — we can just tell! Check out some of the lyrics: “I know I have my flaws/I pay the price but I’m grateful/You’re letting me be myself/The good and the bad/I’m gonna let them stare/They feel like me out there/So welcome to the show/Bring on all the lights/Let it shine on you/We’re together here tonight.” We’re obsessed!
