Barack Obama has filled out his bracket for the 2016 NCAA basketball tournament. As he does every year, the President revealed who he thinks will win March Madness and you can watch him making his picks right here!
Does President Barack Obama have faith that YOUR college team will win the 2016 NCAA tournament? He made his March Madness picks on March 16 — find out who’s in his Final Four and who he thinks will take it all right here!
Rock, chalk, Jayhawk! Our President is Team Kansas this year, choosing the overall No. 1 seed to win the entire tournament. In his Final Four, Obama has the Jayhawks beating Texas A&M, and the University of North Carolina taking down Michigan State. “Bill Self owes me,” Barack laughed, while filling out his bracket.”I’m putting Kansas in here. Coach, I’m just teasing. I’m not putting pressure on you. But I think the Jayhawks in a squeaker get past UNC.”
Interestingly, Obama picked UNC to win the tournament back in 2009, and that was the last time he was correct in choosing a winner. From 2010-2015, he made the wrong choices by picking Kansas, Kansas, North Carolina, Louisville, Michigan State and Kentucky when the actual winners were Duke, UConn, Kentucky, Louisville, UConn and Duke, respectively. Hopefully Kansas plays out better for him this time around, right?! CLICK HERE TO WATCH VIDEO OF OBAMA MAKING HIS BRACKET.
Meanwhile, on the women’s side, Obama picked UConn as the winner — not a surprising choice considering the ladies have taken the title the last three years! He correctly picked the female Huskies in 2015, 2014 and 2010, and this year, he has them taking down Notre Dame in the championship game.
March Madness is officially underway with play-in games on March 16, and we can’t wait to follow along with President Obama’s bracket and see if his picks are right!
