Khloe Kardashian shared some very intimate moments from her childhood and said that when her dad represented O.J. Simpson during his murder trial, they were kicked out of restaurants!
One thing you might not know is that Khloe Kardashian has been the victim of racism! The reality star spoke about a very emotional time in 1995 when her late father, Robert Kardashian represented O.J. Simpson during her March 16 episode of Kocktails With Khloe. She said that at the time she didn’t understand why her family was being treated differently but now she realizes that it was because her father was defending an African American man.
“With my dad I remember because my dad defended OJ in the OJ trial that for the first time I really experienced a ton of racism,” she said. “We were kicked out of restaurants because my dad was defending OJ. Just really crazy things. It was really intense and as kids you don’t understand. In my household I was never allowed to describe a person for weight or color.” We really love that Khloe is sharing such personal stories from her childhood.
On a recent episode Khloe spoke out and revealed that she thinks the stress of the case killed her father. “What I do respect is that [regardless of] what my dad did or didn’t know, my dad would never betray his friend’s trust,” Khloe said. “He never spoke about it. My dad also died of throat cancer which does not run in my family. My dad doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink. I think holding in secrets [and] stress kills you! I feel like you manifest things, you have to think — I’m into symbolic situations.”
