Yep, it’s true. Maddie Ziegler confirmed she is leaving ‘Dance Moms’ after six seasons. The fan favorite spoke to reporters at the Kids’ Choice Awards on March 12 and revealed she’s embarking on new adventures.
Maddie Ziegler, 13, is moving on from Dance Moms. The starlet revealed for the first time herself that she’s leaving the hit reality show. Maddie told reporters at the Kids’ Choice Awards that she’ll definitely miss the girls, but she has exciting things in store for fans!
“I am leaving, but it’ll be a good thing because we’re moving on to cool things,” Maddie told reporters, including HollywoodLife.com, at the KCAs. Her sister, fellow Dance Moms co-star Mackenzie, is also reportedly not returning for season 7.
Maddie’s has a lot of memories from the show, especially with her young co-stars. When asked about her favorite memory from the show, Maddie said, “Definitely being with the girls every single day and having so much fun when you’re not dancing.”
Maddie has been a regular on Dance Moms since the show premiered in 2011. She’s been with the Abby Lee Dance Company since she was four years old.
She rose to superstardom after being featured in Sia’s music videos for “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart” and “Big Girls Cry.” Maddie will star in Sister, a movie written and directed by Sia.
We will miss Maddie, but we know she’s going to do great things in the future. She’s on to bigger and better things! The sixth season of Dance Moms is currently airing on Lifetime.
