Will the real Cleveland Cavaliers please stand up? They may sit top of the Eastern Conference, but they’ve been patchy as they stumble across the finishing line and into the NBA playoffs. On March 13, they travel to Los Angeles to face off against the LA Clippers in what promises to be an exciting match-up. Click down for the live stream!
Clippers fans may not want to remember that the last time these teams met in January, their team ended up falling flat on its face in a 115-102 loss at the Quicken Loans Arena. After injuries, inconsistent form and even star player LeBron James admitting they didn’t look like a team ready for the playoffs, the Cavs have responded well by recording recent victories over the Sacramento Kings and the LA Lakers.
The Clippers, however, are sitting in fourth spot in the Western, and although they’re on course to reach the playoffs they won’t want to lose this one. Their form has been affected by the injury to Blake Griffin, who landed himself in hot bother after an altercation with the Clippers’ assistant equipment manager Matias Testi back in January.
In their 120-108 win over the LA Lakers on March 10, LeBron was largely outshone by his great rival Kobe Bryant, despite being on the winning team. Bryant finished off the night with 26 points to LeBron’s 24, which included fooling his opponent with one of his trademark pump fakes which the home crowd loved.
But now, as we get to the nitty-gritty part of the season, expect to see a more aggressive LeBron as his team aim to make the NBA Finals for the second year in a row.
HollywoodLifers, who do you think will this exciting match-up? Will it be the Cavs who run away with it, or can the Clippers improve on their record in the Western Conference? Sound off with your predictions below!
