Stacey Dash is throwing shade again — this time at Oscar winner (how great is that introduction) Leonardo DiCaprio. In a blog post titled ‘Leonardo DiCaprio, quit being Chicken Little – the Sky is not falling,’ Stacey revealed her thoughts on his touching Oscars acceptance speech.
Stacey Dash is once again ruffling the feathers! On March 10, she took to her website to pen a long post all about Leonardo DiCaprio, and his Oscars speech that was focused around climate change. The actress turned Fox News correspondent, who made a brutally awkward appearance at the Academy Awards apparently feels that he didn’t do enough research first.
She starts it out nicely, writing, “Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar was truly a well deserved win. DiCaprio’s speech, you could tell, was planned ahead of time. He knew he had it. Though I’ve not seen his film yet, I hear it’s great.” Yes Stacey, it is. However, she then says she has a problem with part of it — the part all about climate change.
“Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating,” he said in his Oscars speech. “We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people out there who would be most affected by this. For our children’s children, and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed.”
To that, Stacey says she feels like he’s “Chicken Little, Chicken Little, the bird who ran around the neighborhood and disturbed everyone ‘with her foolish alarm,'” she wrote, insetting the book incase anyone didn’t know what Chicken Little was.
“Before making a speech the world would hear, he should have double checked his facts,” Stacey wrote before quoting many different outlets and spewing “facts” about things that he was wrong about. At one point, she scolds him to “get his priorities straight.”
Who’s side are you on? Stacey’s or Leo’s?
