Oh my god, we’re totally obsessing over Loretta Lynn’s appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Mar. 9! The fabulous country legend had a blast on Andy Cohen’s talk show, where he completely fangirled over the having her on his program. We have the details, here!
A legend stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Mar. 9! The beautiful Loretta Lynn, 83, sat down for a chat with Andy Cohen, 47, and it was amazing! They played “Make Andy’s Dreams Come True” by singing a duet and she totally brought her throwback country fashion to the show in a glorious, over-the-top blue gown. Read on for more about her fun appearance!
Old school country glam was in full display with Loretta wearing a trademark elaborate ball gown of turquoise blue layers of lace and velvet fabric with puffy shoulders, a full skirt and it was covered in matching sequins. She’s been rocking that look for years so why change now? Even her longtime stylist Tim Cobb was on hand to talk about how it takes him up to a week to make some of her performance and awards show outfits.
Andy had one of his dreams come true when he put on a cowboy hat to sing a duet of his favorite song of Loretta’s, “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” where Andy took on the Conway Twitty. Loretta still has those amazing pipes and Andy looked like he was having the time of his life!

Andy got Loretta to dish about all of her famous country pals, such as Willie Nelson, 82, and she admitted she never smoked pot with the weed-loving Willie, but “He showed me how to smoke it though.” Andy asked her when the last time she sat down for bourbon with pal Reba McEntire, 60, was, but she said that, “Reba, me and her never drink, never have,” but they’ll always be close. As to country’s goddess and frequent collaborator Dolly Parton, 70, three words said it all, “I love Dolly.”
Loretta came on the show to promote her new album Full Circle. Loretta is a total legend in the country music world, but she hasn’t released new music in over a decade! Well, not exactly new music, the album is mostly covers, reworkings and outtakes. Either way, we’re glad she’s back!
