The results are in, and Hillary Clinton is officially the top choice in Mississippi’s Democratic primary! Congrats to the presidential hopeful.
Hilary Clinton, 68, has been declared the winner of the Mississippi democratic primary on Tuesday, March 8 when the polls closed at 8pm ET. The results were almost immediate, and it’s yet another southern state where she has triumphed over opponent Bernie Sanders, 74. With her latest victory, Hillary’s march towards the White House continues strongly and confidently as she awaits for the results from the night’s other contests in Idaho and Michigan.
Wow, another exciting win for Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House! The Democrat took 36 delegate votes needed, which led directly to a victory against Bernie in the southern state. So exciting! She was clearly a hit among many of the state’s key voters, where the former Secretary of State won the African-American vote over Bernie by a whopping 89% to 11%.
The battle between Hillary and Bernie to the oval office has been intense, to say the least. While Bernie has won Maine, Nebraska, and Kansas, Hillary has taken Louisiana. She also won 7 states on Super Tuesday, nudging her to the front-running position of the Democrat ticket. Pick up your copy of Hillary Clinton’s book “Hard Choices” by clicking right here.
As we get closer and closer to November 2016, this race will get even more intense. In case you missed it, Hillary and Bernie’s debate on Sunday, March 6, got extremely heated as the two verbally sparred over their very different opinions on gun control and trade. Plus, Hillary lashed out at republican candidate Donald Trump, calling him a “bigot” and a “bully.” Ouch!
