This is just so sad. Police were called to the home of former Eagles member, Randy Meisner for a domestic violence incident on March 6 involving Randy and his wife, Lana Rae Meisner. The police left after finding nothing wrong but just a few hours later Lana was dead.
This is just so terrifying. , the former bassist for the Eagles, Randy Meisner, is currently living a nightmare. The 69-year-old’s wife, Lana Rae Meisner was found dead on March 6 at their home in Los Angeles after a gun accidentally went off and shot her in the head But the circumstances definitely seem a bit cloudy and odd.
The LAPD were called to their Studio City, Calif., home on the night of March 6, according to RadarOnline.com. The police arrived after a domestic violence call but they ended up leaving because they found nothing suspicious. But just an hour later, Randy called the police and told them that Lana had been shot in the head. An insider tells RadarOnline.com that Randy told the police Lana was fumbling around in the closet and that’s when a loaded gun went off. “[Lana] was stumbling around, looking for something in a closet where there were two guns,” the insider told RadarOnline.com. “She was looking for something in the hall closet, and Randy told cops one of the guns was falling and in the process, Lana Rae caught it and it ended up blowing her head apart.”
The entire incident was caught on surveillance cameras in the home and Randy is said to “be in shock.” Randy and Lana were married for over 20 years and according to this report, she did not leave a suicide note. It’s been a rocky road for Randy over the years. After leaving the Eagles in 1977, he reportedly threatened to kill himself. His attorney, Troy Martin, once claimed that Randy suffered from alcoholism and a “mood disorder.”
