The mama monster is back! In an interview on March 4, Lady Gaga officially announced that yes, she will be back on Ryan Murphy’s ‘American Horror Story’ next season!
We all fell in love with the horrible character that was the Countess — and there’s a good chance we’ll love whatever character Lady Gaga plays. During an interview with Z100’s Elvis Duran, the singer revealed that yes, she will be back for the sixth season of American Horror Story. But how?
“Yes,” she said after being pressed on if she’ll return. “I can’t promise you how or when or anything like that!”
Of course, she won the Golden Globe for her super dark role in Hotel, and creator Ryan Murphy can’t stop raving of her. During last season, he revealed that he had asked her ahead of time about season six just because she was so amazing. When they asked what her answer was when he asked, he said “I’ll never tell.”
“That’s something that she has to deal with and announce or not announce when she feels comfortable based on her schedule. I never expect an answer right away and I don’t expect an answer about this right away,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “I think she’s a great actress. I think she’s got a very special talent. So I just went to her and said, ‘I’ve loved having you on the show so much — if you wanna come back, I’d love to have you. I have a couple ideas.'”
He also said the rest of the cast loves her too, which we’ve seen multiple times at panels when they all freak over her. “It’s pretty amazing when somebody like Kathy Bates calls me up and says, ‘I just did a scene with Gaga and I’m shaking because she’s so convincing and I’m so terrified of her,'” Ryan said. “Gaga gets that all the time on our set. I’m very thrilled by her.”
She was also asked during interview if she’s working on an album soon, too. “Well yeah, definitely,” she answered. Ok, we’re officially freaking out! Listen to her full interview here.
