So awful. The Russian nanny who made headlines for brutally murdering a four-year-old girl in her care, has told authorities that she decapitated the innocent child due to relationship issues. Such a horrific and sickening statement.
The babysitter in Russia, Gyulchehra Bobokulova, 38, who killed a defenseless four-year-old girl in her care on Feb. 29, has taken Russian police to the scene where she severed the precious child’s head. The alleged killer reportedly told authorities that she heard “voices” in her head and was full of anger anger after discovering that her husband had started a new family while she was away working in Russia.
It was a horrific scene that shocked the world on Feb. 29. A hijab-wearing nanny was caught walking the streets of Moscow holing a girls’s head while shouting “Allahu Akbar (God is great).” Once detained by Russian police, Gyulchehra told officers that she was haunted by “voices” and was deeply angered after finding out that her husband in Uzbekistan had started a new family while she was working in Russia. So sickening. The nanny also took police back to the scene of the crime, where they found the young girl’s body on a cot in her family’s home. A police source claimed she said: “I came here and took off my skirt, threw it in a rubbish bin. Got changed into what we wear to have prayer. A voice told me to wear so,” according to Daily Mail. The report also states the the alleged killer had been caring for the child since she was only a baby.
The woman is reportedly under going psychiatric tests as a result of “clearly deranged behavior,” in order to establish whether she is “capable of understanding the significance of her actions,” Moscow’s investigative committee said in a statement. There were “signs of a violent death” in the apartment and the child’s murder was “monstrous and inexplicable,” Russian federal child welfare commissioner Pavel Astakhov said in a statement posted on the agency’s website. The nanny faces up to 20 years in jail if she is deemed psychologically fit to stand trial.
Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family of the little girl and all of those affected.
