Kris Jenner was obviously devastated to hear of Nicole Brown’s murder in 1994. But as she reveals in a new interview with Ellen Degeneres, the tragic loss of her friend was made even more painful when O.J. Simpson actually called her to discuss the details of that tragic night! See the shocking new revelation here!
Wow! Kris Jenner, 60, appears on the March 1 episode of The Ellen Show and she’s dropping some serious truth bombs on the topic of Nicole Brown Simpson‘s shocking murder! In addition to describing the moment she first found about her best friend‘s shocking death, Kris admits that she actually had a number of incredibly “painful” conversations with O.J. Simpson immediately following Nicole’s death as he attempted to convince her of his innocence!
We can’t even imagine how difficult this must have been for Kris. During her sit-down with Ellen DeGeneres, 58, the momager revealed that O.J. actually called her on the phone several times in the days following Nicole’s brutal murder — a time that she describes as being incredibly painful for her family.
“He called me a few times right after” she tells Ellen in the interview. “He wanted to talk and to explain how he felt.” While it was apparent that Kris didn’t want to talk about those conversations on air, Ellen was able to get her to open up eventually, saying, “I bet that must have been a little awkward.”
“It was painful…you know, it was just every single day it was something different and it was really difficult because my ex-husband [Robert Kardashian ] was on one side, I was kind of on the other and the kids were stuck in the middle,” Kris explains. “It was trying to explain this to children and then O.J. had called and everybody lost so much that night. It was you lost everything you knew and I can’t even imagine being her family, her sister, her parents — they were so devastated. All of us friends were completely you know…it was hard.”
Wow. Kris, Nicole, O.J. and Robert were all a tight crew of pals for a long time, so needless to say, it came as a total shock when Nicole was violently stabbed to death and and O.J. was brought to trial for her murder with Robert as his co-counsel.“Her mom called me. I had known O.J. since I was 17 years old. When I met Robert I met O.J. So that was a very long time ago,” Kris revealed to Ellen as she reminisced about the moment she found out about her best friend’s death. “He was like a big brother to me and that morning I had been coming back from taking the kids to school and I was supposed to meet Nicole. I was going to change and go and meet her and my assistant said Judy’s (Nicole’s mom) on the phone and I said tell her I’ll call her right back…and she talked to Judy for a second and she said ‘you really need to take the call.”
“And I picked up the phone and she said Nicole’s been shot,” Kris continues. “And I said, what? I said, ‘okay, I am on my way. Where do I need go?’ She said no, she didn’t make it…that was the information that Judy had at that time. That was very early in the morning.” How awful. We can’t even begin to imagine how scary that day must have been for Kris and the entire Kardashian family. For more on the trial, tune into American Crime Story: The People Vs. O.J.
