Justin Bieber turns 22 on March 1, and to celebrate, we’re taking a look back at his hair throughout the years, including his sexiest, slicked looks and his craziest trends (cornrows and man buns, anyone?) — see the pics below!
Justin Bieber‘s hair has been a topic of conversation since 2009, when his debut single “One Time” became a mega hit. I’ve known him since the beginning (see proof here), so I’ve definitely been following his hair evolution. Check out his blonde, purple, and brown hair, shaved head and man bun below!
Justin burst onto the scene in 2009 with his debut single, and at that time, he had a lot of hair. It was grown out and perfectly “swooshed” to one side. He would flip it every few minutes, like he was getting out of a pool. It was sweet and adorable for the 15-year-old star.
As Justin got older, his hair got shorter, and he started spiking his hair in front. When he stepped out with then-girlfriend Selena Gomez at the 2011 American Music Awards, we was dapper and sophisticated. He wore his hair in a deep side part and gelled down. At that point, he was also rocking a hint of a mustache. Listen to all of Justin’s music for FREE right here.

By 2014, his hair was a darker brown and perfectly coiffed. He started to grow it out in 2015, and it was long and slicked back in March 2015, when he appeared at his Comedy Central roast.
By September 2015, Justin’s hair was platinum blonde when he performed a concert on the Today show. It was long in the front, with shaved sides. Over New Year’s, he rang in 2016 with cornrows next to friend and model Hailey Baldwin. In January 2016, he dyed his hair purple and showed it off with a bunch of sexy shirtless selfies. Don’t even get me started on his man bun.
Between his purple strands, sweet little swoop and his crazy cornrows, we just can’t pick a favorite look! Scroll through the gallery and let us know your fave in the comments below!
