Leonardo DiCaprio is confident that his losing streak at the Academy Awards is finally over! The Best Actor nominee at the 2016 Oscars is certain he’ll nab the statuette for his role in ‘The Revenant,’ and nothing is going to change his mind!
Go, Leo, go! Leonardo DiCaprio, 41, believes this is finally his year to win an Oscar, according to an insider who spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY! Leo has been producing some incredible work for years, and he thinks it’s high time that he’s recognized at the Academy Awards. Will the 2016 Academy Awards provide the fateful moment in which he gets to go up onstage?
“[Leo] is not nervous at all,” the insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He is very excited and ready to become a first time Academy Award winner. He really can’t wait for it to happen. He is very excited and he even expects to win. Not in a cocky way but he believes that it is his time just like everyone else does.”
“He feels that tomorrow night is going to be an amazing moment in his life,” the source continued to tell us. “He is looking forward to taking his already out of control and amazing career to a completely different level. He hopes this is the first of many Oscars as the years go by in his acting career.”
Leo is nominated for Best Actor for his incredible role in The Revenant, a film in which he plays an 1800s fur trader who experiences incredibly savage odds fighting against a bloodthirsty grizzly bear. The film, that saw Leo out in the wild in extreme conditions, doing things like eating raw meat and crawling inside a carcass, definitely makes Leo a worthy contender for the award! It’s also nominated for Best Picture!
He may even have a speech already prepared! Okay, we’re not actually sure about a real speech, but as HollywoodLife.com previously told you, a hilarious video compiled a bunch of Leo quotes to make one epic potential speech! Leo does have some stiff competition this year: Bryan Cranston for Trumbo, Matt Damon for The Martian, Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs, and Eddie Redmayne for The Danish Girl.
