She’s the luckiest girl at the Oscars! The sweet Leonardo DiCaprio brought his mom, Irmelin, to the Oscars on Feb. 28. It’s his special night, and he wanted his mom by his side! So sweet!
Leonardo DiCaprio’s definitely a momma’s boy! The Oscar nominee, 41, adorably brought his mom, Irmelin Indenbirkin, to the Oscars on Feb. 28 as his date. Aw! Could Leo be any more perfect? No, definitely not!
There’s only one person more important to Leo than Kate Winslet — and that’s his mom! Leonardo showed up to the Oscars looking so fine in a suit. The ladies’ man didn’t bring a gorgeous model to the show — he brought the person he loves most. “I’m here with my mom. This is the big show,” he told Robin Roberts during a pre-show interview.
He also posed with Kate on the red carpet. For a second, we thought she was his date, but his mom wasn’t too far from his side. However, Kleo fans were treated to the Titanic co-stars staring into each other’s eyes on the red carpet.
Leonardo has been on a roll this awards season. He’s taken home nearly all of the awards at the past ceremonies, and he’s the favorite to win the Oscar for Best Actor this year. He’s been nominated six times, but this would be his first win. Leo’s role in The Revenant is nothing short of fantastic.
Leo recently walked away with the win for Best Actor at the 2016 BAFTAs and dedicated the win to his mom. “I would not be standing up here if it wasn’t for this person. I didn’t grow up in a life of privilege, I grew up in a very rough neighborhood in east Los Angeles,” he said during his speech.
