You’ve been waiting for a Klaroline moment, and well, you’ll get it tonight on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ crossover with ‘The Originals.’ Well… sort of.
“There is a presence of Caroline buried within that, but I can’t really say in what context,” Julie Plec already teased about the Caroline-Klaus connection in The Vampire Diaries crossover episode with The Originals, which will air on Feb. 26. Well now she’s teasing a little bit more. So, when Stefan and Klaus have a heart-to-heart, how will their mutual love be a part of it?
During a blog for Entertainment Weekly, Julie revealed a Twitter Q&A she recently had, when she was asked about the crossover, and what to expect.
“Stefan makes his way to New Orleans in the present, and Caroline hits up magic-free zone St. James Infirmary in the flash-forward,” Julie writes. “You can expect some great scenes reminiscent of season 3 Klaus and Stefan moments. A surprising generosity from one Klaus Mikaelson. An awkward moment where Stefan realizes he’s not sure if Klaus knows he and Caroline are a couple, and a really beautiful phone call between Klaus and Caroline. Also a little Easter Egg surprise that will make you ask some big questions about how The Originals will end their season. In the OGs, you can expect Stefan to get sucked into the Mikaelson’s sire line drama. As one of Klaus’s sire line, Stefan finds himself in quite a predicament as Klaus’s life is threatened by the return of the White Oak.”
Who else is stock in that “beautiful” phone call line? Of course, we’ve been hoping for some sort of Klaroline moment, but we know that with her new babies and relationship with Stefan, a phone call is pretty much all we’re going to get. We know that when Klaus finds out about Caroline’s new role as a mother to Alaric’s babies, he reacts “in a very Klaus-like way,” EP Caroline Dries told reporters, including HollywoodLife.com during a screening in LA.
The Vampire Diaries/Originals crossover begins at 8PM ET on The CW!
