What’s a debate without Donald Trump tearing apart Ted Cruz? During tonight’s Republican debate, to say it got nasty would be an understatement. And yes, Trump stooped to name-calling.
Just like the previous Republican presidential debates, Donald Trump, 69, made sure to verbally abuse his opponent Ted Cruz on Feb 25. In the the pique of political battle, the Republican candidates put it all out there in Houston, Texas, just days before Super Tuesday, and Trump led the way with insults, the worst of which went right to Ted.
“Gentlemen, you must stop this!” Those were exact words of Wolf Blitzer as Donald, Ted, and Marco Rubio began going off the rails during perhaps the most heated debate to date. As the three men battled it, it seemed as if The Donald was about to lose his cool with the frontrunners gunning for his lead for the Republican nomination. Finally, Ted insisted that Donald “relax” and let up with his tirade. His response? “I’m relaxed. You’re the basket case. Go ahead, don’t get nervous…. because you’re losing.” Ouch! It really seemed like childish bickering with no substance.

John Kasich, 63, and Ben Carson, 64, at the Moores School of Music Opera House in Houston, Texas. But clearly, it was the Donald Trump show! The loudmouth businessman held his head high going into the Republican debate, due to winning in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.
Only time will tell if Donald has it in the bag, but keep in mind, Super Tuesday is only a few days away. This will be a “do or die” for the Republican candidates, as more than ten states will hold their primary elections on March 1.
