Everyone is beatable. That was the resounding message when the Golden State Warriors got spanked against the Portland Trail Blazers on Feb. 19. Golden State may be the favorites in this road game, but Miami has been on a surging run that has seen them win three on the bounce. Can they add the scalp of the Warriors to that sequence? Well, without their superstar Chris Bosch it is going to be a big ask.
Stephen Curry showed he was back to his best in his last outing against the Atlanta Hawks — scoring a massive 34 points. Klay Thompson also showed why he’s become one of Golden State’s most lethal weapons, amassing 27 points in that game too.
And if you think they’re just an attacking force, look at defensive stalwarts Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut. Between them they pulled off 25 rebounds in that Hawks game, showing that defense is the best form of offense.
Going into the All-Star break, the Heat were at an inconsistent 9-12. However, since then they’re 3-0 and have been hitting form thanks to Dwayne Wade, who’s averaging 18.7 points-per-game. But losing their best player Chris is really going to hurt them.
It’s hard to look past a Warriors win, especially with Stephen averaging 29.8 points a game. It’s difficult to imagine him not surpassing that total tonight with a few of his 3-point specials.
