With the success of ‘Jill & Jessa: Counting On’ on TLC, the network has officially decided to bring back the Duggars for a whole new show! Yes, you read that right, Jill and Jessa landed their own show — for good!
As everyone knows, TLC pulled the plug on their hit show, 19 Kids & Counting when Josh Duggar‘s intense sex scandal was exposed — his wife Anna claims that Josh had confessed to molesting young girls when he was a teenager; then in August 2015, he admitted to cheating on her and that he had a secret porn addiction. However, the family did continue documenting some of their lives with three specials called, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, and on Feb. 23, TLC announced the special will now be a series.
The new trailer picks up right where the special left off, according to Us Weekly. The new series will follow the lives of the two sisters as they deal with life’s challenges, including raising their own families. The episodes will show Jessa and husband Ben Seewald adjusting to life with their newborn son Spurgeon, 3 months. Then we will see how Jill and her husband Derick Dillard handle life with their son Israel, 10 months, with working as missionaries in Central America.
Josh is currently in rehab for his porn addiction, his family revealed in a statement in August. Via their website, they wrote: “Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment center. For him it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery. We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change. In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future. During this time we continue to look to God—He is our rock and comfort. We ask for your continued prayers for our entire family.” Catch up on 19 Kids & Counting by buying every season on Amazon now!
