Have mercy! On Sunday, Feb. 21, just days before ‘Fuller House’s debut, John Stamos posted the most adorable video of himself playing with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen during a visit to Hawaii in 1989. Watch it here!
We’re huge Full House fans, so we certainly remember watching the Tanner family’s trip to Hawaii during the series’ third season in 1989, but John Stamos just shared one of his personal home videos from that timeframe, and it shows him playing with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on set. Not only is it so insanely cute, but it only makes us more excited for the Feb. 26 debut of Fuller House on Netflix!
In the video, Mary-Kate and Ashley, who were just 3 years old at the time, are seen wearing cute patterned skirts over magenta bathing suits. They give John hugs and kisses as a woman behind the camera says, “be nice to Jesse.”

John was pretty strategic with the timing of his post. The clip was shared just days before the Feb. 26 debut of Netflix’s Full House spinoff series, Fuller House. Unfortunately, the Olsen twins, who both played Michelle, are the only former cast members not returning for the rebooted series. The 29-year-olds are currently focusing on their fashion empire. “Ashley said, I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17 and I don’t feel comfortable acting,” the series’ executive producer, Bob Boyett, recently told People. “Mary-Kate said, ‘It would have to be me because Ash doesn’t want to do it, but the timing is so bad for us.'”
Either way, we’re still super excited to see how the spinoff unfolds.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you excited for Fuller House? Does this video just make you wish the Olsen twins were in it, too? Tell us below!
