What a breath of fresh air! Michael Kors played the 1960s pop hit ‘Windy’ as his models strode down the runway in classics completely transformed with his modern imagination. And they looked fantastic!
Michael Kors is already offering some of the new pieces from his Fall 2016 collection for sale in his stores. That’s a good thing, too, because women will want to get their hands on this collection, pronto.
Not only will his colorful chesterfield coats in emerald, powder blue and lavender keep you warm right now, but they are the perfect pick-me-up and style-me-up in these frigid temperatures. However, these were just a few of the irresistible temptations in this epic collection.
Michael managed to sex up and give youthful energy to staples of a woman’s wardrobe — the navy skirt, now with a thigh-high slit; the box pleated dress, but now with multiple high slits; the denim jean, but now with feather fringes below the knees!
Cable knit sweaters grow to slightly oversize and are cozily layered over bow-tied chiffon blouses. Mink jackets get girl with a spunky bold floral pattern and the feathered skirt gets a day life paired with comfy cable sweaters.
Michael plays with proportions in a completely alluring way. His shirts, dresses and sweaters have sleeves so long they almost entirely cover the hands, but jackets and coat sleeves finish short.
And then there is the sexy-casual approach to evening wear. Sequin dresses have low-slung belts and dancing pleats. This casual approach to glamour is a major theme in this wonderful collection. Michael may have presented a collection that can easily be worn by glamorous stars like Blake Lively and Zendaya, but his models like Kendall Jenner didn’t appear to wear a stitch of makeup and their hair looked artfully uncombed.
The effect just made the clothes stand out even more. Just like any of these pieces would be a standout in your wardrobe. Great collection, Michael!
