Adele, 27, has always been very candid, especially when it comes to talking about herself. The Grammy winner easily opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about her performance of “All I Ask” at the 2016 award show, and she revealed that the day after was the most difficult to deal with. Aw!
“I was embarrassed. I woke up the next morning to people being like, ‘We still love you, don’t worry!’ and I was like I didn’t ask if you still loved me, but thanks!” Adele explained with a laugh. “I was so embarrassed!”
Then, Adele admitted that she cried “pretty much all day” after the performance at the Grammys. “I kept spontaneously bursting into tears yesterday for no reason. But it was alright, I was fine.” She also admitted that even if the performance had gone perfectly she would have cried. Apparently she’s very emotional!
In the very beginning of the interview Adele also addressed the rumors that it had been Justin Bieber, who performed right after her, who had messed up her performance.
“Some people thought it was Bieber rehearsing, but it wasn’t him. We’re on great terms!” Adele told the audience, poking fun at the rumors. We just love her sense of humor!
Unfortunately, Ellen didn’t ask Adele if she was on a great times with Taylor Swift or Kanye West. Hey, maybe next time!
