Kate Middleton always wears a thick layer of pink blush on her cheeks and it gives her a flush and a glow that is gorgeous and romantic. We saw a similar look on the runway at Fall 2016 New York Fashion Week — get it below.
Wearing blush can be intimidating for some women, but I think it makes a huge difference in your makeup look and takes just seconds. Find out how to get Kate Middleton‘s signature look below.
Dick Page, Shiseido Artistic Director, described the inspiration at the Zero + Maria Cornejo fashion show: “I wanted to create a flushed look, to make it appear as if the girls had been outside skiing or running in the snow.”
He was inspired by the cold New York weather, and made the models look “innocent, honest and authentic.”
How To Wear Blush — Get The Look Like Kate Middleton
Here’s how to copy the exact Fashion Week look with Shiseido products:
On the cheeks, “To create a frost-bitten look, Rouge Rouge in Red Queen (RD716) (NEW for Fall 2016) was smudged onto the cheeks and surrounding areas including the bridge of the nose, above the eyebrow.”
For the eyes, “Shimmering Cream Eye Colors in Sable (BR709), Shoyu (BR623) and Yuba (BE217) were applied heavily onto the lids and were mixed with the Benefiance Full Correction Lip Treatment to create a glistening look. Eyebrows and lashes were left natural.”
“The lips remained practically bare with a slight blistery look created using Benefiance Full Correction Lip Treatment and a very small amount of Rouge Rouge in Ruby Copper (RD501) (NEW for Fall 2016). A whitish pearl prototype color was applied above the lip, as well.
After applying face color on the cheeks, Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF20 was lightly applied as needed.”
