There’s no denying that Taylor Swift stole the show at this year’s Grammy Awards. She won album of the year — for the second time — and she managed to throw some shade at Kanye West. But let’s not forget she started the night off by crying, and when you find out how Calvin Harris comforted her, your heart will melt.
We’re pretty sure Calvin Harris, 32, is the perfect boyfriend. Not only does he give Taylor Swift, 26, the sweetest public shoutouts, but he also knows exactly what to say in a crisis. Her recent tears over a tiny error during her big Grammy night performance (she missed one note!) might have sent some guys running, but a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Calvin had no problems talking Tay off the ledge.
“Calvin knew exactly what to say to make Taylor feel better about her Grammy performance. A lot of guys might have brushed off her feelings, but Calvin totally validated her. He’s just as much of a perfectionist as she is, so he understands why it bothered her so much.” See, we are right — he’s the best boyfriend ever!
Our source adds that Calvin actually appreciates her super high standards because he’s the same way! “The fact that they’re both so incredibly hard on themselves is something they have in common, it’s one of the things they bond over. Instead of telling her she was crazy for being upset, he listened to her and let her get her feelings out. And he reminded her of all the amazing things that happened, like winning album of the year and her kick ass speech. He couldn’t stop telling her how beautiful she looked and how proud he was of her, as usual.” We are so happy that Taylor has found the real deal!
Of course, it’s not exactly surprising that Taylor has found such an amazing guy, considering she’s nothing short of awe inspiring herself. When she hit back at Kanye West, 38, for claiming he “made her famous,” she did it with class and style.
During her acceptance speech for album of the year, she alluded to the rapper’s shocking statements saying, “I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credits for YOUR accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you’ll know it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.” Yup, that’s how it’s done.
