It’s time for the créme de la créme of the NBA to face off as the annual All-Star Game gets underway on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. EST. Can LeBron James outshine Stephan Curry for the Eastern Conference? Click here for the live stream to find out!
Stephen Curry, 27, goes face-to-face with LeBron James, 31, in the annual NBA All-Star Game at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, which you just cannot afford to miss! Not only will the great rivalry that already exists between these two basketball greats be put to the test, it should also provide us with some memorable moments!
Curry is actually favorite to win the MVP for the game, and he will be supported by Kevin Durant, who is having an explosive season for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Add Russell Westbrook and Kobe Bryant, to the equation and it’s clear to see the Western Conference has a very strong line-up.
But the Eastern Conference won’t be overawed. With LeBron, supported by the mercurial talents of Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and Paul George, the West will have to be on the top of their game to win this one.
It’s worth noting that Kobe, who has won 4 All-Star Game MVPs in the past, will be playing his final game in the annual exhibition match. Can he do the unthinkable, banish his recent poor form, and lift a 5th MVP? Anything’s possible.
Kobe’s former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Shaquille O’Neal is backing him to prove the doubters wrong. “If [Bryant] can find his stroke and get it going a little bit, I can guarantee you he’s going to go for the MVP,” he told the Los Angeles Times.
Basketball fans will remember that the Western Conference edged out the Eastern 163-158 in a thrilling high-scoring contest. You can expect more of the same this year round, with the Eastern certainly going all out for revenge.
