Bravo! Ne-Yo and Nelly Furtado kicked off the NBA all-star game in Toronto with a bang, performing the American and Canadian national anthems with style. They looked and sounded amazing at the Air Canada Centre. Here’s the scoop!
What an amazing way to start the big game! Nelly Furtado, 37, and Ne-Yo, 36, both game amazing renditions of the American and Canadian national anthems before the explosive NBA all-star game on Feb. 14, and we can’t think of a better way to get in the spirit for some b-ball! We have all the details, here.
Wow, that was seriously amazing. We have goosebumps! The benefit to hosting the 65th all-star game in Toronto is that we get double the national anthem performances, and both featured such wonderfully talented people, Ne-Yo and Nelly, who each put their own spin on their countries’ most famous songs!
Nelly is a Canadian-born singer with over 20 million albums sold worldwide, so she was a no-brainer to sing “O Canada!” before the big game. And she totally nailed it! The pop icon looked gorgeous rocking a flowing bright red gown showing off her toned tummy. Her short hair and natural makeup was amazing, and her voice was out of this world!
Ne-Yo lent his silky smooth sound to the American “National Anthem” just before the star of the NBA all-star game, and it couldn’t have been more amazing. He looked sexy as ever in his tan canvas jacket and brown hat, held respectfully over his heart and we’re still trying to un-melt ourselves after hearing his beautiful acoustic rendition of the song. Phew! What better way to kick off the big game?
