The NBA all-star game was everything we wanted and more! With breathtaking musical performances, celebrity appearances, and some pretty amazing plays, what more could you want? Relive the 5 most amazing moments from Feb. 14, here!
Oh my gosh, that was insane! The NBA all-star game in Toronto on Feb. 14 was basically next-level. It had performances by super talented musicians, stars made surprise appearances, and of course we got to see some amazing basketball. Just in case you missed any of the action, we have all of the best moments, right here.
1. The amazing renditions of the National Anthems.
Nelly Furtado and Ne-Yo both took to the court to sing the American and Canadian National Anthems, and they totally gave us goosebumps! Between Ne-Yo’s silky smooth R&B sound and Nelly’s powerful pop vocals, we couldn’t get enough!
2. The surprising player introduction.
We’ve never seen anything like this before! The players were all introduced by Cirque Du Soleil. and it was the coolest thing we have ever seen. The music, the colors, and the acrobatics were just completely mind-blowing.
We loved when Drake showed up halfway through the player introductions to his hit “Jumpman” to introduce the second half of the players. He was even rocking a “Farewell Mamba” jacket to send his favorite player Kobe Bryant out on a high note.
4. Kobe’s tribute.
Kobe had several amazing moments on the court, but none more than his touching tribute video, where we got to relive some of his most mind blowing plays, and hear some touching messages from his colleagues. Plus, he gave a beautiful farewell speech.
5. The insane halftime show.
What better way to get totally pumped about the second half of the game than to bring out a legendary rock star? Sting performed several of his biggest hits, including “Desert Rose”, “Every Breath You Take” and “Message In A Bottle” and by the time he was done, we couldn’t stop dancing.
