While we’ve been rushing about from one Fall 2016 show to the next, Rebecca Minkoff broke the mold when she decided to show her Spring 2016 collection — and that’s because you can immediately SHOP the looks, right off the runway. How cool is that?
There’s no denying the fact that Rebecca Minkoff is a major trendsetter — and we aren’t just talking about the clothes she sends down the runway! The designer flipped the script when she decided to show her Spring 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week, rather than debut a Fall 2016 collection — and that’s because now you can SHOP all of the amazing outfits you saw, right off the runway. She presented her shoppable line on Feb. 13 at the Gallery at Skylight Clarkson Square, where the celeb set came out in full force to check out Rebecca’s collection — and we love that you can own all of the outfits, right NOW.
From Coco Rocha to Olivia Palermo and Kate Bosworth, the celebs showed off looks we also saw on the models. One of our favorite outfits, (both on the runway in the front row!), was a lace-up mini, which Kate wore as she took in the collection. If you loved the look as much as we did, you’re in luck! You can SHOP for the Silva Dress in Pale Blush HERE, right now. Kate paired the frock with Rebecca Minkoff’s Mini Lion Crossbody Bag from the Resort 2016 collection.
The looks were polished off with braided ponytails, adding to the effortless vibe of the collection.
We’re usually trend spotting for the next season and making mental notes of what we can’t wait to buy once the items hit store shelves, but now that isn’t the case — and we love the shift. Rebecca has always been an innovator, so it comes as no surprise to see her break out of the mold in such a bold way. Her shoppable runway featured the same covetable, cool clothing we’ve come to know and love from the designer — and her digital-savvy consumer will love the ability to SHOP the looks immediately. Rebecca isn’t the only designer to debut a collection you can immediately buy. In fact, Burberry, Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger all followed suit.
