Super Bowl 50 winner Peyton Manning has been accused of a shocking alleged sexual assault cover-up that “smeared” the life of his former college trainer, according to a new report. Click here for the full details!
Peyton Manning, 39, has just had the gloss taken off his big Super Bowl 50 win. The legendary Denver Broncos quarterback has been accused of covering up an alleged sexual assault on his former college trainer, Dr. Jamie Naughright, a new report claims.
In 1996, when Peyton was an aspiring athlete playing college football for the University of Tennessee, it was alleged that he placed his buttocks and his testicles on the face of Dr. Jamie in the team’s dressing room while she was treating him for a foot injury, the NY Daily News reports.
In unearthed legal documents the newspaper has obtained, Peyton is alleged to have had details of an earlier confrontation with Dr. Jamie that may have led to the sexual assault being hushed up.
Peyton’s book called Manning, which was co-written by his dad Archie Manning and released in 2000, accused Dr. Jamie of having a “vulgar mouth” and that led to her losing her job soon after. A defamation court case then ensued, and the Mannings eventually paid a settlement, believed to be $300,000. However, that was after Archie had accused the trainer of allegedly sleeping with a number of black student athletes.
The court documents reveal the full extent of what Dr. Jamie alleges. “It was the gluteus maximus, the rectum, the testicles and the area in between the testicles. And all that was on my face when I pushed him up. To get leverage, I took my head out to push him up and off,” she said in the papers.
For Manning’s part, he claimed he was simply mooning one of his former teammates, Malcolm Saxon. But in a letter to Manning, Saxon denied this. “Peyton, you messed up. I still don’t know why you dropped your drawers. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe not. But it was definitely inappropriate. Please take some personal responsibility here and own up to what you did. I never understood why you didn’t admit to it,” he wrote.
