‘Vampire Diaries’ Stefan Kills Julian Dead, Damon Has Sex: Season 7 Ep 11 Recap – Hollywood Life

‘Vampire Diaries’: Damon Hooks Up With [Spoiler] — First Romance Since Elena

Another week, another downward spiral for Damon. Luckily, his big bro was there for the big rescue this week -- but wasn't too thrilled about the Elena news. After literally lighting his ex on fire last week's Vampire Diaries, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) couldn't even look at himself in the mirror -- or his brother in the face. So, who did he turn to? Well, Julian of course, which we all know wasn't so smart. Right away, he started killing innocent people, then decided to go after Julian's friends. Not such a good idea, D.

Once he came face-to-face to Julian, he let him know what he did — namely, burned Elena’s body. So, Julian directed him to a sparring match. The winner wins, and the loser, well, dies. Damon took on many men, one who is undefeated. Right before the guy was about to kill him, someone threw a wooden stake onto the ring and Damon gabbed it and killed him. That’s not allowed apparently, so Julian then jumped in, and Damon was ready to die. Stefan showed up to try and protect him but was taken out by Julian’s “friends.” Luckily, Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) went to protect Stefan, on Caroline (Candice King)’s request. Yes, Stefan’s girlfriend had Stefan’s ex go after him. So she used her magic to save Damon, and he finally agreed to leave with Stefan.

And then it happened: Damon told Stefan about Elena’s body, and well, got a well-deserved beating by his bro. Afterward, Stefan broke down in tears and had a whole Dawson-crying-in-the-car-at-the-market moment, which was pretty beautiful. He then pointed his anger at the one who was at fault: Julian. Again, with Valerie’s magic help, he killed Julian once and for all. It’s about freakin’ time.

We assume he then returned to Caroline — she spent this week in the hospital in major pain, which is why Valerie came back to begin with: to help her. She found out that her babies were actually drinking her blood trying to steal her magic. So that probably felt great. Damon went drinking after and found the person who threw him the stake: a beautiful woman. And yup, he hooked up with her after staring deeply in her eyes (kinda intense for a hook up, but whatever).

Apparently Setting People On Fire Is A Thing Now

Meanwhile, Matt (Zach Roerig) continued his flirting with the new police officer this week, but she quickly found out about his real job: hunting vampires. And yes she believed him since she followed him to Mystic Falls and saw it first hand. I have a feeling she’s going to be some sort of longtime impact on Matt’s life. Speaking of long term, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) finally returned this week. Bonnie (Kat Graham), Nora (Scarlett Byrne) and Mary Louise (Teressa Liane) — yup, the exes that won’t stop fighting, had to work together to track down Rayna, a famous vampire hunter. Once they found her, she nearly killed Bonnie . . . but future BF Enzo was there to save her and kill Rayna. Then you know, he stole the body.

For some reason, Enzo later set her body on fire, and a girl came out of it — a young angry mystery woman. Cut to three years later, and Stefan arrives to Caroline’s station to help, or so he thinks. Matt lets him know Caroline is safe, before stabbing him. But he’s just following orders from said mystery woman — and she has Damon locked up.

Until next week…
