The hair look seen at the Fall/Winter 2016 Marissa Webb fashion show was sleek, chic and timeless. Find out how to copy it from the hairstylist who created it below.
I was backstage at Marissa Webb‘s New York Fashion Week show on Feb. 11, and one of the two hair looks on the models was a low pony with a deep side part. It reminded me of this look seen on Rihanna in 2014. It’s still totally cool and current today.
TRESemmé Stylist Jeanie Syfu told me backstage about the inspiration. It was a “70s girl, boy play. Flamboyant androgyny.” With a deep side part, she added a lot of shine to the hair and flattened with a Mason brush. The low pony was secured with an elastic and gel was added on the part and hairline to make it even sleeker.

Here is how to get the exact look:
“1. Prep damp hair with TRESemmé Extra Firm Control Mousse, and then use a comb to create a deep side part.
2. Blow dry in the direction of the part with a flat brush, guiding hair towards the nape of the neck for a polished look.
3. Gather hair into a low ponytail using a comb and fasten with an elastic.
4. Apply TRESemmé Extra Firm Control Gel along part and hairline using a hair color application brush for a sleek, refined finish.
5. Set the look with TRESemmé TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray.”
There was also a second look — a low loop bun that was structured and modern. The makeup was by Maybelline, and focused on a graphic, silver and black cat eye, plus a raisin lipstick. Pretty and cool.
