Looks like Taylor Swift isn’t the only one fuming over Kanye West’s new diss track. Since it’s release, everyone from Selena Gomez to Gigi Hadid (who was actually at the Yeezy show) have taken to social media to show their support for the “Bad Blood” singer, proving once and for all why her squad is the best squad!
Make no mistake about it — Taylor Swift‘s crew isn’t taking Kanye West‘s new diss track lying down! Since debuting his new song, “Famous,” in which he raps about how he “made that b***h [Taylor] famous,” at his Yeezy 3 fashion show on Feb. 11, everyone from Selena Gomez to Jaime King to Gigi Hadid have taken to social media to defend the “Bad Blood” singer. See what they had to say about Kanye’s offensive new track below!
Swifties, unite! Kanye released his new album The Life of Pablo on Feb. 11, including a song called “Famous” in which he raps about wanting to have sex with Tay Tay, while also taking full credit for making her famous (I mean that’s a joke, right?). Needless to say, the track did not go over well with the “Bad Blood” singer’s famous squad, a number of whom have wasted no time in taking to social media to defend her.
Among them of course, is none other than Tay’s own brother Austin Swift, who, as we previously reported, made his feelings known when he posted an Instagram video in which he’s pointedly threw a pair of Yeezy sneakers into the trash. “Getting a head start on some spring cleaning. Here we go again,” he captioned the video. Here we go again, indeed!
Not long after, a Tumblr user also spied Selena Gomez liking Austin’s Instagram post, while Martha Hunt reportedly liked and commented, “Yesssssss.”
And that’s just the start of it! Jaime King, a.k.a the mother to Taylor’s godchild, reportedly tweeted about Yeezy Season 3 before deleting the post and replacing it with the tweet, “I’m so sad right now & disappointed right now. I stand by my sister. Always.”
Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid, who was actually sitting in the audience alongside her pal Kendall Jenner, made sure to reassure fans that her presence at the show did not reflect how she actually felt about the offensive song. “My attendance somewhere does not mean I agree with everything being said in the music playing there. My friends know of my loyalty,” she wrote before also retweeting a fan’s post about her and Taylor’s upcoming appearance on Spike TV’s Lip Sync Battle.
As for Taylor’s other famous BFF Karlie Kloss, 22, the supermodel may have also been in attendance at the buzzed-about show, but she clearly wasn’t feeling the vibe after catching wind of Kanye’s nasty lyrics. As one astute Twitter user pointed out, Karlie visibly stopped bopping around to the song as soon as she heard her besties’s name. Talk about a buzz kill.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Taylor is “absolutely appalled and horrified” by Kanye’s outrageous lyrics, and is convinced that it was nothing more than a ploy to help sell more records. Strategic move or not, it’s pretty clear that Kanye just made himself a couple of new enemies, and if Taylor’s “Bad Blood” video taught us anything, it’s that her squad is not to be messed with!
