Cam Newton was NOT a happy camper after his Carolina Panthers lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50! Once he hit the locker room following the game, Cam took his aggression out in a major way: A huge meltdown! Get the EXCLUSIVE details here!
While a Super Bowl loss is never easy to bear, apparently Cam Newton didn’t take his team’s defeat in the most graceful way. The 26-year-old Carolina Panthers quarterback may have kept his cool after suffering a 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos, but inside Cam was fuming. He took to the locker room to express exactly how he felt — which involved quite the intense reaction!
“Cam‘s devastated. To make it this far and not win the big game is a disappointment. He kept it classy as best as he could in front of the media, but in the locker room, all hell broke loose,” a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He was cursing, screaming and throwing stuff everywhere. He tore one of his very expensive Versace shirts to shreds in anger over losing. He just knew his team was going to win. He was going to hit up hella after parties and thought he’d be the Bay Area hot shot but all that quickly faded when reality set in and they lost. The man is still shaken up and it’s going to take him a while to recover from this.”
Yikes! A meltdown isn’t all that shocking, though, considering how defeated Cam looked in his postgame press conference. With his hood up, he gave short answers to reporters’ questions and abruptly walked off the podium after just a few minutes of being interviewed. Plus, even before the game was over, he threw a bit of a tantrum on the field, so we can only imagine what happened once the cameras were off!
Although Cam probably didn’t need to throw a fit in the locker room after his team’s loss, it’s hard to blame the guy for being upset. After all, he led his team to an almost-undefeated season leading up to the big game! And during the Super Bowl, the Broncos’ Von Miller had two strip sacks on Cam that must have been frustrating, as they resulted in some of the most crucial plays in the Broncos’ win. Nevertheless, Cam has plenty of time left in his NFL career to make it back to the Bowl — so now that he’s had his meltdown, hopefully he’s gotten his aggression out and can start gearing up for next season!
