Beyonce — more like Slayonce! That’s what Bey’s own mother, Tina Knowles, is going to be calling her from now anyways following her insane Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 7! See the proud mama’s sweet message to her daughter here!
Make no mistake about it — Beyonce totally SLAYED her Super Bowl halftime performance on Feb. 7., and no one was happier about it than her mother, Tina Knowles! The proud mama took to Instagram immediately following the big game on Sunday night to share a sweet message congratulating her daughter, all the while treating us to Bey’s official new nickname: Slayonce! See it here!
Like all of us watching at home, Tina was totally floored by her daughter’s amazing Super Bowl halftime performance, and couldn’t resist singing her praises on social media. Taking to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video from the set, Tina is seen clapping and cheering her daughter on as she prompts the crew members to start chanting “Slayonce” in her honor. We for one are all for making this nickname stick — after all, if there’s one thing that Bey did that night, it was slay. And just in case there’s any lingering doubt about that, look no further than the lyrics to her new jam “Formation,” where she confidently sings “I slay, okay!” We won’t argue with you there, Bey!
Of course, Tina wasn’t the only member of Beyonce’s family cheering her on from the slide lines that night. Fresh off her appearance in the singer’s new music video, Blue Ivy Carter, 4, also made a stylish appearance at the big game, where she was spotted hanging out with Gwyneth Paltrow and her kids. Being the lucky little girl that she is, Blue also got the chance to step out onto the field before the big game to watch her mom rehearse in all of her glory. The singer shared the touching family moment with her fans, posting a photo of her and Blue Ivy taking the scene in as Jay Z snapped a photo of the pair from behind. So cute!
As all of that wasn’t already amazing enough, Beyonce also gave her fans another amazing gift after hitting the stage — she announced her Formation world tour, which kicks off on April 27! There were a whole lot of other epic moments from the Super Bowl broadcast, but we’ll be reminiscing about this Beyonce — sorry, we meant Slayonce — performance for a LONG time to come.
