Breaking ink alert! We know Angelina Jolie, 40, loves getting tattoos to mark things that are important to her on her beautiful body but she has so many there’s not a whole lot of space left for visible new ones. Now she’s used all of the remaining area on her back for three stunning new markings, and they all have lovely Buddhist meanings behind them. Read on for more about what her intricate new body art means!
Angie has apparently been quite moved by the experience of directing her new film First They Killed My Father while on location in Cambodia. The beauty has just added three giant tattoos to her already large collection across her upper back, which are Buddhist blessings for peace, love and a prosperous life. Awww, Angelina totally deserves all of those things! CLICK HERE TO SEE ANGELINA’S NEW TATTOOS.
Two of them appear along her spine below her “Know Your Rights” inking that she’s had for many years, while the other is on her right shoulder-blade and quite similar to another Cambodian blessing tattoo in a similar “yanta” style that she already had on the left side of her back. Those types of tattoos are found across Southeast Asia and are traditionally hand-etched by Buddhist monks and given a blessing. Pick up Angie’s amazing Disney film Maleficent by clicking here.
They add to Angelina’s already large collection of body art, as two of the new inkings are just above a giant Bengal tiger she got inked in 2004 to celebrate being granted Cambodian citizenship after adopting son Maddox, 14, from the country. She also has the longitudes and latitudes from the locations where her children were born across her left shoulder, and she has a much more private tatoo on her inner left thigh in the civilian aviation language “Whiskey Bravo,” in other words WB for husband William Bradley Pitt.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Angelina’s new ink? Lovely or is it too much?
