Now that’s how you start the show! Lady Gaga, 29, performed one of the greatest renditions of the national anthem at Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7. The Golden Globe winner was joined by Switched at Birth’s Marlee Matlin, 50, who signed the national anthem. What a memorable moment!
Lady Gaga never puts on a bad performance, and her Super Bowl performance is one of her best ever. She belted out the national anthem, hitting the high notes like no one else. She gave us all chills. Lady Gaga can literally do it all — dance, act and sing. Seriously, she can SING! She looked fabulous in a sparkling red blazer and matching pants. It was also enjoyable to see Marlee perform the song in American Sign Language. Stream Gaga’s music HERE!
This is the first time Lady Gaga has performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl and being chosen meant a lot to her. “I’ve always wanted to sing the National Anthem at a major sporting event since I was a little girl,” she told NFL’s Nate Burleson. “This is one of the highest honors of my career… I get a chance to sing for all the athletes who have been working so hard their whole like for this moment.”

Lady Gaga’s performance comes on the heels of the singer winning a Golden Globe for her role on American Horror Story: Hotel. She also revealed backstage at the Globes that she will be releasing a new album in 2016, her first solo album since 2013’s Artpop.
Super Bowl 50 is full of massive music stars. In addition to Lady Gaga’s performance, Coldplay will be performing during the Super Bowl halftime show. Beyonce, 34, and Bruno Mars, 30, will be making appearances during the halftime show as well. We can’t wait to see it all go down!
