Now that’s funky! Bruno Mars just rocked the Super Bowl 50 with a performance of his biggest hit, ‘Uptown Funk’ — and a Beyonce dance-off!
If your jaw isn’t on the floor after watching the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, then you need to rewind and pay better attention! Not only did Coldplay open the show with an incredible selection of their most popular songs, but when Bruno Mars and his back-up dancers came out decked in black leather and gold chains, the party was ON.
Bruno started with “Uptown Funk” with his pal, Mark Ronson, in the DJ booth. He and his dancers showed off some seriously slick moves, including some Vanilla Ice-like throwbacks, before turning the stage over to Beyonce. Well, sort of.
The pair faced-off for a hot minute on the stage before teaming up, joining Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and strolling the catwalk in a moment that felt very much like 2001’s halftime show featuring Aerosmith, NSYNC, and Britney Spears. Hmm.
In case you missed it, HollywoodLife.com told you EXCLUSIVELY on Sept. 8, 2015 that Bruno had been offered a spot in the Super Bowl 50 halftime. He later confirmed the news himself on Feb. 5, just two days before the big game, by sharing a super cool photo of himself posing next to the halftime stage during rehearsals. Check it out HERE!
