Wow! Now this is the blessing that Julianne and the Grease: Live cast sure deserved. Olivia Newton-John, the actress who starred as Sandy in the iconic 1978 film version of Grease, took a moment out of her Sunday night, Jan. 31, to let fans and friends know she was rooting for Julianne and the Grease: Live cast.
“Julianne Hough, Didi, Barry & the cast! So excited to watch GREASE LIVE (@gogrease) tonight!! I know you will be wonderful! Have fun!” Olivia wrote on her Facebook, which also posted to Twitter. She also included a “love and light” along with her signature. So unbelievably sweet!
For those of you who don’t know who Didi and Barry are, Olivia is acknowledging her original co-stars Didi Conn and Barry Pearl, who played the roles of Frenchy and Doody in the film. For Grease: Live, Didi portrayed the malt shop waitress while Barry starred as a TV producer scouting Rydell High for the National Band Stand show.
Isn’t it cool they came back for the Live show?
