We typically love all awards shows, but the 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards will definitely go down as one of our favorites of 2016, as it had so many memorable moments. Browse through our gallery and see our favorites, including Leonardo DiCaprio’s big win and more!
The 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards lit up the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Jan. 30, and there were so many memorable moments! From Carol Burnett‘s big win to Leonardo DiCaprio kissing Kate Winslet, we loved seeing all of our favorite actors together under the same roof.
Here are some of our favorite moments from the show (in no particular order):
1. Carol Burnett won the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award, proving that comedy isn’t a “man’s game.”
2. Jeffrey Tambor dedicated his SAG Award for Transparent to the transgender community. During his speech, he said, “I play Maura Pfefferman, and she’s very entitled and she has a lot of money, and I would just like to dedicate this award to the non-Maura Pfeffermans, who don’t have a lot of cash, for their operations, for their medicine, for their freedom — thank you very much.”
4. Leonardo DiCaprio won his very first SAG Award for Lead Actor in The Revenant. This was his ninth nomination.
5. And before Leonardo walked on stage to grab his trophy, he hugged and KISSED his Titanic co-star, Kate Winslet. We’re now dead.
