Having been nominated for the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ award for her role in Steve Jobs, Kate made sure to bring her beauty A-game to the SAG Awards red carpet on Jan. 30. The Titanic actress kept things sleek and simple, opting for a slicked back chignon that perfectly showcased the elegant and structured neckline of her emerald Armani gown.
To create the look, hairstylist Renato Campora started by first prepping her hair with Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydrocream Whip to create added volume and then applying a small amount of MarulaOil Rare Treatment Oil to the ends to help lock in moisture and take flyaways. Using the Neuro Motion Dryer, he then dried her hair in sections before creating a dramatic side part by separating the top section of her hair and securing the bottom section into a low ponytail.
Next, he separated the ponytail into four pieces and began twisting the hair and wrapping pieces around each other to create the base of the chignon. Twisting side to side with the top section of hair, he then blended the pieces into the chignon already in place before applying Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray to create added movement.
Finally, Renato finished the look by securing the chignon with bobbi pins and applying a spritz of Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Finishing and Shine Spray for a glossy finish.

Kate Winslet’s Chic Nude Makeup At The 2016 SAG Awards
For her makeup, Kate turned to celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, who created a chic, ‘no-makeup’ style makeup look for the occasion. To create the Lancôme brand ambassador’s flawless eye makeup look, Jillian applied three coats of Lancôme Grandiôse Mascara in Noir Mirifique on the edges and corners of her lashes. The goal was to make the eye really pop, so Jillian filled in her upper lid very delicately using Lancôme Artliner in Noir, which she then enhanced with the Lancôme Auda[city] in Paris Multi-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Exhibition.
On the skin, Jillian started by applying Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate. She then applied Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Makeup Stick (in 110 Ivory), which she then enhanced with Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow (in #5) and Lancôme Blush Subtil in Shimmer Peach Amour.
To finish the look, Jillian then created a rosy, nude lip by first applying the Lancôme Le Lipstique in Nude Tan and blending it with the Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge in Beige Mirage. The look was simple but oh so stunning — don’t you agree?
