From star-crossed lovers on-screen, to real-life lovers off screen… here’s a look at some of our favorite co-stars turned couples in Hollywood!
There have been so many on-screen turned real-life celebrity couples over the years, it’s almost hard to keep track! Thankfully, HollywoodLife.com has put together a pretty comprehensive list and gallery filled with your favorites, both past and present. Ready to review? Let’s do this!
Let’s start with the recently rekindled Miley and Liam. As many of their diehard fans know, they met while filming The Last Song together in 2009 and were together for quite some time after that, even getting engaged to be married, until they sadly split in late 2013. However, after they were caught spending New Year’s Eve 2016 together in Liam’s home country of Australia, it was revealed that things were back on!
Then we have one of Hollywood’s most iconic couples, Ryan and Rachel, who melted hearts everywhere when they fell madly in love while filming The Notebook in 2003. During an interview, Ryan even referred to Rachel as one of “the great loves” of his life. Swoon! But unfortunately that love wasn’t great enough to last, because they split after two years together (2005 to 2007). We’re still holding out for a reunion, though!
Let’s not forget Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who shamelessly fell for each other while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith — even though Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston at the time. Awkward. But, this love was one of the record books, because the film came out in 2005 and eleven years later in 2016, they are happily married and co-parenting six children together.
But, as we’ve already learned, sometimes love found in front of the camera doesn’t always last. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had a highly publicized romance from 2009 to 2014 after filming the novel-turned-blockbuster film, Twilight. They filmed another four movies together and became known as “Robsten” to their beloved fans, but unfortunately their relationship dwindled soon after the popularity of their films did.
As you’ll see in the gallery above, many other couples took this path — some survived, some didn’t, but we love them all the same. There’s Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, Emily VanCamp and Joshua Bowman, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth, Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, and last but certainly not least, Blake Jenner and Melissa Benoist.
