Brie Larson, 26, had a big night ahead of her at the Los Angeles held SAG Awards on January 30 at the Shrine Auditorium. Nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role award for her role as Mia in the film, Room, Brie surprisingly kept her look more toned down.
Brie kept both her makeup and hair looks simple with a few details that really made it a look worth noting. Makeup artist Rachel Goodwin used Chanel products, keeping Brie’s skin clean with a dewy glow and slightly defined brows.
Instead of an intense smokey eye or oversized lashes, Rachel kept her eye makeup more natural with a hint of black eyeliner on Brie’s top lash line only and a coat of mascara. For a pop of color that contrasted with Brie’s light blue gown and brightened up her whole look, Rachel chose a coral lip, lining and filling Brie’s lips in with the Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Orange Intense and added Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine in Article on top.
Brie’s hair was our favorite part of her look, which from the front looked like a simple, center-parted low knot. In the back, you could see that hairstylist Mara Roszak gave Brie’s look some cool detailing by twisting two sections on either side of her head and looping them into a loose knot.
To get the look, she prepped her damp hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Lustrous Oil Serum, then blow dried it out and ran a flat iron over her hair to keep it sleek. Parting Brie’s hair down the center, Mara applied L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Transforming Oil-in-Cream to smooth her hair and eliminate flyaways. After twisting sections on both sides of Brie’s head and pinning them at the nape of her neck, she used L’Oréal Paris Elnett Hairspray for hold, before looping the ponytail and pinning it in place. For a glossy finish, she misted the whole thing with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Nutri-Gloss High Shine Glossing Mist.
This awards season has already been major for Brie, who was nominated and won her first Golden Globe earlier this month for her leading actress role in Room. She’s also been nominated for an Academy Award for the same role, so we can expect to see even more beauty looks from her.
What did you think of Brie’s look, HollywoodLifers? Was this her best beauty look so far this awards season?
